Dominic Feichtinger was born in 1991 in Vienna. He studied Percussion at the MUK Privatuniversity Vienna with Leonhard Schmidinger (Bruckner Orchester Linz) and Anton Mittermayr (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra). With 21 he got his first contract as a percussionist at the Volksoper Vienna. In the following years he was always working on a contract basis at the Volksoper Vienna, with the Grazer Philharmonic Orchestra, while working with Austrian orchestras like the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and many others. Beside that he was working as a soloist, with organ and orchestra, in several ensembles like Louie’s Cage Percussion which he co-founded in 2013 and was exploring the world of Afro-Cuban music which led him to a contribution at the Carneval of Santiago de Cuba. Since 2018 he is a percussionist at the Volksoper Vienna and since 2019 he is working as a certified mental coach.

Since a very young age he was always fascinated by all the mental challenges a musical career entails. Competitions, concerts, musical exams, creative and mental processes, working as a soloist and in ensembles and auditions. After he lived through all of that he contributed his work as mental coach to the support of musicians with their challenging work and to the focus on musician’s mental health as well as their joy of music making.
