Maxime Pidoux
Percussion Tutor
Maxime Pidoux, 1994 born in Paris, started at the age of 5 with the piano and began the studies of percussion two years later at the Conservatoire Hector Berlioz with Nicolas Martynciow.
Later on he followed classes for marimba with Eric Sammut, timpani with Jean-Claude Gengembre, jazz vibraphone with David Patrois und
drumset with François Merville.
In 2013, Maxime decided to move to Munich and became a student of Raymond Curfs at the Hochschule für Musik and Theater.
After being a member of the French Youth Orchestra, Schleswig-Holstein Festivalorchester and Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester under Dennis Russell Davies, Michael Sanderling, Christoph Eschenbach, Krzysztof Urbanski, Manfred Honeck and Daniel Harding, Maxime entered in 2016 the Orchesterakademie of the Bavarian State Orchestra. Maxime increased his professional orchestra experience among other with the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Bavarian State Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, Dresdner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and Munich Symphony Orchestra with Riccardo Chailly, Kirill Petrenko, Zubin Mehta, Andris Nelsons, Vladimir Jurowski, Myung-Whun Chung, Klaus Mäkelä, Paavo Järvi, Ivan Fischer and François-Xavier Roth.
From 2018 to 2022 Maxime hold the position of first percussionist with the Bavarian State Orchestra. He is now since january 2022 Solo-Timpanist at the orchestra del Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
Since october 2022, Maxime is also Senior-Lecturer for timpani at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
