Johannes Schneider was born in Eisenstadt in 1994. At the age of five, he decided to begin studying percussion with Peter Szenczy.
Three years later, aged eight, he was admitted at the Joseph-Haydn-Conservatory to study with Univ.Prof. Mag. art. Ulrike Stadler, still seeking her musical advice to this day. In 2007 he was awarded first price with distinction at county and national levels for the competition Prima la musica. Despite his ongoing school education, the young musician’s development shines at regular solo performances. At the age of 16, he joins the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra. On top of that he completes a two year conducting course as music director with distinction.
In December 2010 he started working as a guest musician at the Vienna Volksoper and as a contracted percussionist between 2014 – 2018. After successfully graduating from HTBLA Eisenstadt in 2013, Johannes Schneider starts his university studies as a classical percussionist with Anton Mittermayr at the Music and Arts University Of Vienna (MUK).

Orchestra he gains soloistic expertise through successful participation at
the competition Musica Juventutis in
2014 and at the Masterclass Percussion
meets Identity in 2016.
Further masterclasses and lectures with
Martin Grubinger, Klaus Schwärzler, Raphael Haeger, Wieland Welzel, Johannes
Fischer, Tom Greensleaves, Oliver Madas, Thomas Lechner, Erwin Falk, Benjamin
Schmidinger complete his musical education.
In May 2018, he won an audition for the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera and started as a contracted percussionist in September 2018. In 2020, following an invitation from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, he taught audition training and orchestral literature to classical percussion students for two years. He becomes a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in September 2021. Since September 2023 he has had a teaching assignment on the Josef Haydn Privathochschule in Eisenstadt.
